Today’s New Covenant nugget is from John 3:16-18 (TPT)
For this is how much God loved the world—He gave His one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in Him will never perish but experience everlasting life. God did not send His Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be it’s Savior and rescue it! So now there is no longer any condemnation for those who believe in Him, but the unbeliever already lives under condemnation because they do not believe in the Name of God’s beloved Son.
Jesus is not a judge, but a rescuer… that is why we call Him Savior!
The religious Pharisees and Sadducees wanted Jesus to judge… to judge the Roman empire, the woman caught in the act of adultery, the tax collectors an all of those that they deemed lawbreakers, but Jesus disappointed them, He did not judge them, He loved them and provided a way for them to be blessed… Jesus came as a rescuer then, and He is still our loving rescuer today! Jesus and legalistic religious people clashed then and they still clash today!
Jesus came to give grace and truth (John 1:17) – the truth that we know sets us free and grace gives us the ability to walk in the truth that we know… Jesus is all about freedom and liberty…
Friend, Jesus is not judging you today, He is your rescuer… He wants to set you free and He wants you to have life and life more abundantly! Jesus is your rescuer, your protector, your provider… He loves you with an everlasting, unconditional love, He is on your side, so shake off condemnation, put your faith in Jesus, stand still, and see the salvation of God!
