Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Luke 24:49 (NIV)
“I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
Jesus went on to say, “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 Amplified)
Jesus had shared His PLAN to His disciples (Matthew 28:16-20, Mark 16:15-18) After Jesus shared His PLAN, He told them to WAIT for the POWER to implement the PLAN.
Many believers try to do what God has called them to do in their own strength. Trying to do the Lord’s work in one’s own strength is a recipe for failure, disappointment and frustration.
Do not leave your home ‘spiritually naked’ today! Let Jesus emerge you and ‘clothe you in Holy Ghost fire and miracle working power before you leave the house. Worship, pray in the Spirit and then, BY FAITH receive a fresh touch from the Master!
If you have not yet been filled and baptized in the Holy Spirit as in Acts 2:1-4, this promise of being filled with the Spirit and speaking in other tongues is for you, and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call. (Acts 2:38-39)
We cannot do what God leads us to do in our own strength, we need His POWER. His miracle working power is a gift to you, don’t leave home without it!
