RECEIVE AT THE THRONE OF GRACE!

Today’s devotion is from Hebrews 4:14-16

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Many times when believers get challenged financially, or sickness tries to come on them, the first thing that they do is ask, “what did I do wrong?”

In the New Covenant it is important to remind ourselves that our blessings, our health and our provision is not earned and therefore, we are not blessed because we did something right and we have not done something to earn our health – in the same way, we are not being challenged in our health or regarding our provision because we did something wrong!

If our health, our provision and our general welfare depended upon our performance and our getting everything right, we would all be in a load of trouble! Friend, you are blessed because of what Jesus did, regardless of what you did not do, or what you did wrong! It’s called GRACE! It’s free, it’s unmerited, and it is yours in Christ Jesus!

That is why, when we get into trouble, we should not immediately look to our actions, what we may have done wrong, what we may have missed, or where we may have sinned… instead, we go boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

The Holy Spirit reminds us that Jesus is compassionate towards us and that He understands what we are going through because He Himself went through temptations, challenges, tests of faith and faced and conquered everything that we will ever face.

When we face a challenge in life… instead of focusing on what we could have potentially done wrong, there are two things that the Holy Spirit wants us to do…

Number one – Hold fast to your confession of faith

Number two - come boldly to the throne of grace, and obtain mercy and find grace to help in your time of need.

These two things are really one – the way that we receive… the way that we obtain grace and find mercy is through our confession of faith!

As you face challenges, face them at the throne of grace – Be bold, be full of faith and declare the Word! You see, the devil wants us to keep our eyes on ourselves and our actions, which is a sure recipe to failure – the Holy Spirit wants us focused on Jesus, His grace, and His Word, not our weakness or our strength!

Get your eyes off of yourself - get the Word regarding what you are facing… then, come boldly to the throne of grace – now, speak the Word… hold fast to your confession of faith – as you do this you will find grace, obtain mercy and as you do, your breakthrough and your victory will manifest!

Make this confession of faith - say this out loud with me…

“John 17:17 says that I am sanctified and set apart by Your truth - Your Word is truth - Your Word absolute truth – the Word is for me to walk in, to accept as final truth and for me to stand on, to declare by faith and for me to do – I am who the Word says that I am - I can do what the Word says I can do - I can be who the Word says I can be - Christ in me can do all things – I can do all things through Christ - I have absolute POWER over ALL the Work of the enemy – nothing shall by any means harm me – I have power to raise the dead – I have power to heal the sick – I have power to do the works of Jesus – I have total authority over all of the works of His hands in Jesus Name! – the power and the authority of the creator of all things is on the inside of me – when I speak by faith, I ALWAYS have what I say – As I speak the Word, the Father ALWAYS watches over it to perform it – The Father loves it when I expect Him to ALWAYS perform His EVERY Word! – I always expect the Father to bring to pass every word that I speak according to His Word – God is not a man that He should lie – His Word is literal, His Word is truth and His Word is final!”
