Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Mark 14:61-62 (AMP)

Again, the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, “Are You the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed), the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus said, “I am; and you will [all] see the Son of Man seated [with authority] at the right hand of Power (the Father), and coming with the clouds of heaven.”

Christ is not the last name of Jesus… the word Christ is the Greek name for the Hebrew word ‘Messiah’, literally meaning ‘The Anointed One and His anointing’.

Jesus was the most powerful, most anointed man Who ever lived on earth… from His birth He was known as the anointed One… Matthew 1:16 (TPT) - “Joseph, the husband of Mary the mother of Jesus, who is called “the Anointed One.”

When Jesus was born, a HUGE anointing came to earth, and the world has never been the same! As we celebrate Christmas, recognize that even the word ‘Christmas’ means ‘a service celebrating the Anointed One and His anointing’ ‘CHRIST’ (the Anointed One and His Anointing) ‘MAS[S]’ (a gathering to worship).

Christmas is all about the Anointed One and His anointing… it is all about the power of God to save, to deliver, to heal and to bless… as you celebrate Christmas this year, receive the Christ anointing and then let His anointing flow through you to others!

CHRISTMAS IS THE ONE DAY THAT THE WHOLE WORLD STOPS TO RECOGNIZE THE BIRTH OF CHRIST!

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still [stop, pause], and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The Hebrew word for ‘be still’ literally means ‘stop, or pause’ The anointing on Christmas stops the world every year… every year everybody stops to exalt and to recognize Jesus, the Anointed One…

The Message Bible says, “Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at Me, your High God, above politics, above everything.”

The New Living Translation says, “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Every Nation in the world honors Jesus in some form on Christmas… even those who reject Him honor Him.

CHRISTMAS HAS AN ANOINTING ON IT! THE ANOINTING OF JESUS

Luke 4:18-19 - Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach (to proclaim) the gospel (good news) to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives (to those who are bound) and recovery of sight to the blind, to set those who are oppressed free; to proclaim the year (the dispensation) of grace, acceptance and favor of the Lord.”

JESUS BROUGHT AN ANOINTING TO PROCLAIM AND TO DECLARE, IN HIS NAME!

FREEDOM FROM LACK AND POVERTY

The anointing on Jesus destroys poverty “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach (to proclaim) the gospel (the good news) to the poor”. 2 Corinthians 8:9 says, “You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

This Christmas, step into the anointing of Jesus and proclaim freedom from poverty and lack wherever you go… take full advantage of this anointed season and release His anointing to the world!

JOY, PEACE AND WHOLENESS TO THE BROKENHEARTED

The anointing on Jesus and on this Christmas is powerful enough to heal the brokenhearted and to bring joy, peace and wholeness in Jesus Name!

FREEDOM TO THE CAPTIVES

So many are held captive… so many are addicted, so many suffer from fear, anxiety and a state of mind that becomes a prison without walls… the anointing on Jesus is the only way to true freedom and wholeness…

HEALING THE SICK

Jesus said that He was anointed to proclaim recovery of sight to the blind… this includes all healing of every disease and physical problem!

TO SET THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED FREE

The anointing on Jesus sets the depressed, the oppressed and the possessed free!

GRACE, ACCEPTANCE AND FAVOR

Jesus said that He was anointed to proclaim the year (the dispensation) of grace, acceptance and favor of the Lord.

Over and over this passage of scripture combines the anointing on Jesus with ‘proclaiming’, or declaring by faith… when we speak the WORD, Jesus ‘proclaims’ and releases His yoke destroying anointing! Jesus PROCLAIMED and released the freedom and grace anointing then, and He is still proclaiming it today as we speak the Word in His Name! Every time you declare His Word by faith, people are set free from lack and poverty, the brokenhearted are healed and joy, peace and wholeness are released… the captives are set free, the sick are healed, the oppressed are set free and delivered and grace, favor and acceptance is released.

Speak the Word this Christmas and release the anointing of Jesus in your songs, in your prayers and in your actions as you celebrate the birth of CHRIST, the Anointed One and His anointing!

Blessings on you, Nick
