Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 103

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

This passage of scripture has sentimental value in my life because it was the last verse my dad quoted me when he went into hospital a few days before he passed on to heaven at the amazing age of 92.

I love how David uses this Psalm as an anthem from his heart, describing the amazing benefits the Lord bestows and pours out on our lives – forgiveness of sins, healing, redemption, lovingkindness, mercy, satisfaction and renewal.

Now by Faith, today, we continue to receive everything, just like David did, from God’s living, powerful Word… and as we raise our voices in praise, like David… we remind ourselves of the goodness of God. We have been forgiven, we have been healed from every sickness and disease, we have been redeemed, we daily receive His loving kindness and tender mercies being poured out on our lives… we walk everyday, satisfied by His goodness towards us and daily, we are being renewed - even our thoughts, our minds, our wills and our emotions are being renewed.

Glory be to God - Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Blessings on you, Esther
