Today’s devotion is from Philippians 3:12

Not that I have already obtained, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

The Passion Translation says, ‘I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose that Jesus Christ has called me to fulfill and wants me to discover.’

As we press on, we take hold of...

The act of pressing on opens the door to receiving all that Jesus has given us. Paul said, "I press on TO TAKE HOLD OF that for which Christ Jesus took hold of for me.” As we step out and as we keep moving forward and as we keep pressing on an anointing is released upon our action of faith and that anointing becomes a receiver of God's promises.

Pressing on and moving forward regardless of circumstances is

of paramount importance...

Staying in faith, not giving up and staying in the race makes the difference between those who overcome and those who do not. Paul the Apostle was in prison and facing some of his most challenging times when he wrote this. The devil wants us to give up and give in because that is the only way that he can win. Do not give up… keep moving forward one step at a time!

God’s promises are wrapped up in endurance…

Hebrews 10:35-36 says, ‘Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

Endurance keeps you moving forward, endurance keeps believing and endurance keeps running, not matter how tired you are. Endurance is a fruit of the Spirit and comes from staying strong in the Spirit. Staying strong in the Spirit comes from intimacy with God, the Word and praying in the holy Spirit. Those who endure will receive the promise. What is the promise? Supernatural health, supernatural provision, supernatural protection and supernatural grace and favor.

Walking in faith is like riding a bicycle… you have to keep it moving if you don’t want to fall and you have to keep moving if you want to steer it...

As long as you keep going, as long as you keep pursuing, as long as you keep pressing on… You will be supernaturally provided for. You will walk in Supernatural favor. You will be supernaturally protected.

Pursuing what?

The goal of the high calling of God in Christ! Paul defines this goal as "To know Him in the power of His resurrection..." Knowing Jesus to the fullest extent possible is the goal... then every other goal in Him comes into play. As we pursue Jesus, as we press into Jesus, as we use our faith and our endurance to keep pressing toward Him, an avalanche of blessings, health, wealth and God's riches in glory pour over us and overtake us.

Hebrews 6:12 (TPT)

Don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.

Galatians 6:9

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
