Today’s devotion is from 1 Corinthians 13:8-13  (TPT)

Love never stops loving. It extends beyond the gift of prophecy, which eventually fades away. It is more enduring than tongues, which will one day fall silent. Love remains long after words of knowledge are forgotten.

9-10 Our present knowledge and our prophecies are but partial, but when love’s perfection arrives, the partial will fade away.

11-12 When I was a child, I spoke about childish matters, for I saw things like a child and reasoned like a child. But the day came when I matured, and I set aside my childish ways. For now we see but a faint reflection of riddles and mysteries as though reflected in a mirror, but one day we will see face-to-face. My understanding is incomplete now, but one day I will understand everything, just as everything about me has been fully understood.

13 Until then, there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love—yet love surpasses them all. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run.

Friends, we have been called to love with a love that never stops loving. The gifts of tongues, words of knowledge, prophecy will all fall away, but as we become one with the Spirit of God and continue to surrender to Him, as we allow His Love to flow in us and through us, we love others with His strength and His ability, not that of our own.

Let the love of God continue to change you from the inside out…

Keep yielding to Him and as you do His love will continue to transform you, change you and motivate you to keep running the race towards the prize of the High calling in Christ.

We are running this race because He first loved us. We are running this race because we love Him. We are running this race, because Jesus is living in and through us. We are forever changed because of His love for us. Because of Him and His love working in and through me, I have faith, I have hope and I have love – Hallelujah.
