Today’s devotion is from Psalm 100:3
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
God created us to live in His Word. We are His sheep, living in His pasture. If you imagine sheep, living and feeding from a pasture, the sheep will spend all day long grazing. The sheep are being filled and fed all day long. Imagine how strong we can stay in the Lord, when we stay “feeding off” of His pasture all day long.
Ephesians 1:23, talks about the fullness of God, who fills us. God wants us living full and overflowing, lacking nothing. Let’s feed off His Word all day long, as the scripture that says ‘ In Him we live and move and have our being’. When I read my bible, I remind myself that the Word is alive and each word I read, is Jesus speaking to me and feeding me.
Family, be in the Word, stay in His pasture, Feed off His living Word. Let the Word of God, be alive in you. Let His Word be on your lips, in your thoughts.
I am continually reminded of my dad, who loved to memorize the Word of God. He would continually have the Word of God going through his mind as poetry and if given the opportunity, he would recite and preach the Word, one scripture at a time. I saw my dad go through storms in life but come through strong. My dad lived healthy and never had need of going to hospital, till he was 92 years old and ready to depart from this earth, he lived and walked in divine health and prosperity because he knew which pastures to feed off of. When you feed off His pasture, you will live content, fulfilled, full and lacking nothing – that will leave you ready to worship and praise Him all day long. Hallelujah!
