The word for you today is from Matthew 9:36-38
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
What moves you?
Your focus determines your heart… Jesus ‘saw’ the needs of the multitudes, then He was ‘moved’ with compassion. Jesus was not focused on Himself… His focus was on the needs of others. If a person is focused on himself, his challenges, his needs and his circumstances then those are the things that will move him… if, on the other hand a person is focused outwardly on the needs of others, then that will move him.
Inward focus moves toward selfishness and self-obsession and outward focus moves toward generosity, love and compassion.
Place your needs and your cares in the masters hands today and then ‘let go and let God.” Get your focus off yourself and onto the harvest and let love, generosity and compassion arise… you will not only be moved to make a difference in the lives of others, doing so will bring personal joy, excitement and fulfillment!
