Today's devotion is from 2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was so very rich, yet for your sakes He became so very poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied)’
The Lord has established a wealth covenant for every believer under the New Covenant of grace.
Jesus became poor, in order that by His poverty you might become rich and abundantly supplied. The Lord wants you blessed personally and He wants your cup running over with abundance. He also wants you blessed so that you can be a blessing and so that you can fulfill your calling.
Salvation is a free gift, but reaching the world with the gospel is very expensive. It is going to take a lot of money to do what we have to do in these last days.
The Lord has land, buildings, vehicles, television networks and equipment set aside for His children as tools to use for the kingdom of God and they are not all going to be donated, we going to purchase much of what we need with the abundance of finances that the Lord will bring to us through His covenant of wealth!
How do we access this wealth that has been set aside for us?
The covenant of wealth operates by SOWING financial seed by faith as led by the Holy Spirit and then REAPING or receiving a financial harvest. (We do not sow to get God to give us wealth. He has already given us wealth through the New Covenant) We sow to receive, or to lay hold of the wealth that Jesus has already given us.
Esther and I live by our giving, we worship Jesus with our tithes, and then we are Spirit led in our sowing. By entering into our wealth covenant in Christ we have lived all over the world and have enjoyed an abundant supply wherever we have lived, regardless of circumstances.
Sow seed and then reap a harvest
Galatians 6:6-7 says, ‘Let him who is taught the Word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.’
In this passage the Apostle Paul is specifically referring to sowing financial seeds to the ministry and reaping a financial harvest.
Jesus said that if we sow seed into good ground that we will reap a harvest of 30, 60 or 100 fold… when we give, it will be given unto us, pressed down shaken together and running over!
God loves a cheerful giver and makes grace abound towards those givers, so that they always have all sufficiency in all things, and so that they always have an abundance for every good work. (2 Cor. 9:7-8)
There are so many wonderful scriptures that strongly teach us how that we can live by our giving under our covenant of wealth.
Jesus has given every believer a pathway to financial freedom and financial abundance through the covenant of wealth by means of simply sowing seed into the good ground of the ministry as led by the Holy Spirit and then reaping a harvest. The Lord even provides us with the seed to sow! (2 Corinthians 9:10)
The children of God are led by the Spirit of God through divine instructions that will bring great wealth to those who step out in faith and do as the Lord leads.
Once we have sown our seed we need to have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying…
He will give us things to do, lead us to go to places, connect us with specific people and give us a plan of action... as we follow His leading and do what He says by grace through faith the finances will begin to pour in and in and in! It is as simple as that under our powerful covenant of wealth.
