Today's devotion is from Philippians 4:6-7
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication [making your needs known to God], with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
When we pray, the Lord wants us to make our needs known to Him, but Instead of just listing your needs to the Lord, He wants us to make our requests WITH THANKSGIVING.
In other words, we need to thank Him in faith, as an act of receiving when we bring our requests to the Lord, believing that we receive WHEN we pray. (Mark 11:24) We have ALREADY been given EVERYTHING that we need for life and godliness in Christ through the New Covenant, now all we need to do is receive it by grace through faith with thanksgiving.
“I thank You Father, that You have supplied all my needs in Christ Jesus. I thank You father, that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed. I thank You father, that You have given me the power to get wealth. I thank You Father, that I can do all things through Christ.”
Then, when you have made your requests with thanksgiving, visualize receiving what you thanked the Lord for.
Begin to rejoice, begin to praise Him and then begin to thank Him for His goodness. As you do this, supernatural peace will flood your soul... peace that defies logic will guard your heart and your mind through Christ Jesus. His peace will guard your mind during that time between receiving your miracle in the realm of the Spirit, and the manifestation in the natural realm.
Bringing your requests to God with thanksgiving releases faith, and faith brings joy and peace! As you pray, do it with thanksgiving, believe that you receive when you pray and you shall have it!
