Today's word is from Ephesians 4:29
"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers."
When a believer opens his or her mouth, it should always edify, build, strengthen and IMPART grace, life, joy and blessing.
If you find yourself unable to do this, ask the Lord to give you a fresh impartation of His love and grace towards you.
We cannot give others what we have not received. (1 John 4:19, “We love Him because He first loved us.”) Then once you have received a fresh baptism of His love, kindness and grace for you, ask the Holy Spirit for rivers of grace to flow out of you towards others.
Grace is more than a doctrine or a way of believing, it is something we receive from Jesus, and then impart to others!
We have many opportunities to put people down, to expose their sin and to crush them with our words. We have many opportunities to cut people to pieces and to WIN arguments, but Jesus wants us to put down pride and humbly, lovingly speak words that heal, build, lift and love.
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
