Today's word is from Jeremiah 17:7-8

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat [when heat comes] or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

To thrive in tough times as believers, we trust IN the Lord, but we do more than just trust IN Jesus, we MAKE the LORD our HOPE and CONFIDENCE!

This is far more personal than just trusting in Jesus… it is the difference between PASSIVELY hoping and having confidence in America to bring blessing to you and your children and PROACTIVELY making America your place of hope and confidence. The proactive approach includes commitment on your part, faith, as well as action.

As we MAKE the Lord our HOPE and CONFIDENCE, we proactively place our roots into Jesus.

The difference between passive trust and proactive engagement is the level of commitment. Make the Lord your hope and confidence today, and you will be like a tree planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such a tree is not bothered by the heat [when heat comes] or worried by long months of drought. Its leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

 PRAYER

Father, I am blessed as a believer who trusts in the Lord and have made the Lord my hope and confidence. I am like a tree planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. A tree that is never bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. My leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit, in Jesus Name!
