Today's word is from Jeremiah 17:7-8
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat [when heat comes] or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
Tough, challenging times come to everybody, in fact each day is filled with things that do not go as planned. These tough times can either represent tombstones or steppingstones in the life of a believer.
Winds of potential destruction are calamity to a house of straw, but opportunity to and eagle, who uses what breaks others to fly even higher and more effortlessly. The Bible says that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
For those of you that are planted in the Lord… The next time that you face an insurmountable challenge, don’t see it as a tombstone, recognize it is the steppingstone of opportunity that it is, then spread your wings and fly!
Father, I live and move and have my being in Christ, and in Christ every test is a potential testimony, every battle is an opportunity for victory, and every trial is a triumph in the making!
My roots are planted in living waters and all things are working together for my good now, in Jesus Name!
